Why The Crypto Industry Was Exported Out Of China I CRYPTOLAND

Introducing CRYPTOLAND, Motherboard’s new documentary series about all things crypto. Watch more episodes here:

The Chinese government has long tried to stamp out cryptocurrencies in the country with varying levels of success. In 2021, a ban on mining finally sent firms packing and seeking countries like Kazakhstan with friendlier stances toward crypto mining. They’ve also found homes in towns all over the US, where companies are encountering both support and criticism from locals, as well as politicians at the state and federal levels. Will Bitcoin be regulated in the States, and how should our leaders approach it?

  • Wow so u outsourced ur business 2 china to be a sciv then o no xi Jinping realizes crypto is a way for ppl to hold wealth and not be enslaved so you had to outsource to america and it was such a headache? What a great man give this man a standing ovation

  • Stupidfornia needs more mining. When the water dries up, hydro turbines will shut off, causing significant blackouts. More energy and water demand and their stupid policies will destroy the state faster. That would be great. Then a earthquake in SF and LA. The devil has foothold in that stupid state and God has his plan even for Crypto.

  • But I thought the United States is a terrible country? You lift people out of poverty by deregulation and stop pushing corporations to other countries. All that energy is going to come from a green energy grid and infrastructure that doesn’t exist.

  • Great <info and insight as always. <The speed of the $18k capitulation surprised me a little, though it would have taken longer to happen. But knowing the macro narrative (stocks sell-off, QT taking away liquidity, huge players like 3ac dumping), it makes sense. <That being said, I hold my most bearish BTC downside target to be $14k, even if it goes lower, I don't think it would stay lower for any meaningful period of time. <Some people have lost more than 50% of their portfolio because they believe holding and waiting for a major pump is the best way to earn profits in this market, while others who are smart enough trade and take short-term profits, I've made over 13' BTC trade not on my own but with the help of a professional who has reputable background and understanding of the market Robert John, I came across him in trading view where he shares his charts. People who are open to learning from history will survive It’s not that difficult. <There might be so many investments out there but if profits must be considered, which is actually the sole aim of every Investment then I’ll advise you to go into crypto trading because it has higher profit returns. You can contact Mr. Robert John at (ͲeIєɠɾαm. @Robertworldwild) for inquiries and financial advice regarding crypto investment for free.

  • My life has totally changed since I started with $8,000 and now I make $24,450 every

    11 days.

  • this guys a very optimistic ponze talker. there is an energy crisis in the west and this guy thinks he can scale this…mining can't be overly scaled it needs a limit. how to control govts from centralizing it though…

  • mining datacenters are greedy need to be banned and regulated they are centralizing a system that should be decentralized and taking the power from the masses.

  • Making money is the plan and with Bitcoin Investment your plans can be fulfilled 💯

  • Cryptoland? I would've went with Tales from the Crypto!

  • who else isn watching and making a whole lot right now on tech host farms using the Antminer Z92??

  • that is the real fact about bitcoins when you can make more profits by using a tactic called bitcoin mining, which grants you many rewards. TechHostFarms services have always been there to make that work. I m so tired of watching and listening to people complain about bitcoins losing their value when you can make x3 of what you bought your bitcoins by just mining with a great service like tech host farms mining service. Psa, this is not investment advice.

  • Maybe the PRC made the right call by banning Crypto? I believe some of that energy over there came from coal, and and from power plants that aren't all that clean, you could small the burning coal in the air over there when I was in Beijing. Maybe coal is okay for crucial industries, but for crypto, like I don't see it.

  • The Chinese were smart they locked in the gains and basically transferred wealth from other nations to China. Bitcoin is not an investment it produces nothing. It is going to continue to go down. t is directly influenced to the cost of electricity which is influenced by the war in Ukraine. A high demand for natural gas increases prices of electricity and a shortage of uranium exports from ukraine makes nuclear more expensive and the worldwide drought makes hydro more expensive. Miners have to sell increasing supply and those buying on margin have to sell and as they increase supply it causes prices to drop further forcing them to sell more. Anyone with common sense likewise sold and go out of the pyramid scheme.
