I hope this clears the air about levies, army quality, educating kids, and all the other little things that might otherwise slip by! And it's all 1.1.2 tested.
Thanks for this. the individual education focus of heirs and such… That is new info for me and will help me early in creating my next heir. I just started playing and these small tidbits of info are coming in handy.
6:45 funny
Just started CK3. This explains why my levy armies are being smashed.
Holy shit this is so useful, especially the bit about kingdom wars!
If committed successfully, suicide is really, permanently bad for your health.
I think there's also a 'recently disembarked' negative reduction to army advantage.
I've had an interesting issue that's happened more than once. Where I appear to be successful at conquering foreign territory the numbers start to turn negative regardless. But then I'll save the game log out log back in and then I'll win in a matter of weeks or months.
If I ever need help I switch to the richest nation and transfer all funds to me to fuel the massive army
My guy I just do absolutely nothing in this game. I just leave it at 5 speed and click the choices when they come up.
FYI it's "de joor" not "jury"
Gotta hand it to you, the way you narrate these guides is surprisingly gripping, considering the Format. Propably the best way for my taste from all the guides i have seen, and i have seen plenty on many games
Why is the audio on your voice so choppy? Seems to cut for like a split second in random sections all over the video, like at 13:27 "There is a good bit of….. PRESTIGE to be gained" and at 13:33 "Dont underestimate… Foundation". Is there something wonky about your editing software or something? The info in the video is really good, but the choppy audio kind of ruins it.
I use hunts and feasts mostly to reduce stress but I do enjoy some of the opportunities they offer also.
Does first tip still work?
It’s not pronounced “da jury” de jure is pronounced “da zhur”
L O C A L U N I T S
does the first tip still work? I've tried this a bunch of times with fuedal & tribal but always ended up just getting my claims. I am on xbox though
I click on CK3 videos just so I can hear which words the uploader mispronounces.
Not disappointed, 3 minutes in and I've heard more talk about Da Jury than a mafia boss on trial.
The game is broken, the heir WANDERING off thing has been complained about for years but paradox is TOXIC to feedback. The amount of clicking you have to do for blackmail to cash is absurd. The continual appearance of a flashy icon 'hold royal court' is really annoying. All proof that paradox doesn't even play their own games. How much longer are they going to get away with the pathetic single soldier icon moving across the map, and the pathetic combat resolution graphic. Fix the game, update the game graphics, then bring out packs.
PartyElite: De Jury
Me: The who?
speech impediment? fuck is wrong with you, weird pauses when you talk
The first tip blew my mind I can’t even imagine how many hours I would’ve saved if I knew this.
Are these kinds of tips still relevant to the game in 2022?
You have a very similar speaking tone and cadence to Jeff Nipard.
One of my most powerful rulers focused on diplomacy, the entire realm loved him, his neighbours loved him. He died of a botched surgery and his intrigue focused heir lost the throne a month into his reign. The son gained the throne back a few years later after becoming a "loved" member of the realm and cough cough killing his brother and nephew.
For recuiting knights i try to marry em to my courtiers of if theyre good enough to my children cuz they bitch about the courtiers, i also revoke a barons title since it doesnt count as tiranny and make the desired champion a mayor
sometimes i dont get the option to declare war why is this?
When you talk in that way, you make it harder to understand the information
Did anyone pick up when he said “you can also do suicide but that’s probably bad for your health” lmao
Remember If possible to time your attacs on ruler changes. Mostly this means fewer Enemy allies, a weaker ruler, more likely civil Wars to weaken opposition and possibly a smaller army opposing you to begin with.
If you have little money, don’t buy a Court physician. Have one of courtiers find a spouse with good learning and preferrably physician and/or herbalist skills. Lot cheaper especially in the early game.
I just got this on the game pass I started as Wessex…
Downloaded it from gamepass and it’s good I’m just kinda lost mostly with vassals like I don’t know how to like get them to come fight with me and ish like that
I never thought bad about diplomacy. Strangely i don't find intrigue in ck3 very useful. I mean i see that a lot of people talk hwo good it is but i kinda don't find use to it. Maybe seducer tree is somewhat worth it but again, diplomacy is better for making people like you
thank you for this infomational video#
Raise development levels even when your tribal. It can give a moral boost too
13:40
is it worth considering switching to diplomacy for a breif moment to grab befriend, groomed to rule and either one or both of sway bonus or send gift bonus, then switching to scholarship focus to grab the other guardianship perk to raise uberheirs
Great tutorials, but some small things that irk me lol.
De jure is pronounced day joor. Not day jury.
And it’s “intensive purposes” not intense and purposes.
Sorry to be annoying
So id like to amend one thing here. Dont rely on levies/ invest in levy oriented buildings in your own lands. If you want to pacify potentially troublesome vassals, invest in as many of those levy buildings and gold generating buildings as possible so you can profit off of their dues to you without having any potential buffs towards their men-at-arms regiments.
my biggest tip i can give in my first 100 hours of playing CK3, use the disinherit option to keep all barony titles in the hands of the heir you want. It wont prevent the disinherited character from having claim to that land, but avoids needless wars for titles you already owned. With royal court, renown is much easier to come by, so the loss of a couple hundred renown early on is nothing compared to realm stability.
